How Does a Dynamometer Work?
The dynamometer is a special instrument that measures the car engine's power output. To do so, it places a load on the engine. Following that, it measures the amount of power the engine produces against the placed load. The most common type of dyno used is the water brake dyno. Apart from that, there are eddy-current dynos and alternating current dynos but their high cost has limited their usage.
